Cultivating Leadership
The context of teacher leadership will be explored throughout this presentation. Each team member has chosen a Teacher Leader to interview for this exercise. Reasons for choosing each person interviewed will be listed, as well as a short biography of each interviewee.

What makes a great teacher Leader?
The specific to this question may differ, but the common thread that runs through all of our practices is keeping in mind that all decisions should be made in the best interest of the students.

Managing Growth
As we spoke to our personal Teacher leaders we discovered that tasks emerged from these discussions. Through careful listening and observation during our interviews we each discovered areas that we could hone our skills. This type of collaboration simultaneously creates growth of individual skillsets, while growing the organization as a whole. Together, we are stronger.

The New Classroom
We can never under estimate the power of the ripple effect, for better or for worse. Strength based leadership yields desirable returns for the individual as well as for the organization. An organization is a living and breathing organism. It is filled with ideas, personalities, strengths, goals, and hope

How do we create a safe environment where all partners feel encouraged to share equally?
When each member feels valued, and their voice is listened to, everyone feels safe to take risks and get out of their comfort zones.

This stretches our abilities, allowing us to become the best versions of ourselves that we can aspire to be. Mentoring high-potential teachers and providing them with the resources to grow into competent, effective Teacher Leaders will turn a ripple into a wave of pivotal change in The New Classroom.

Keeping Up With Our Changing World
Keeping up with the changes in education requires that each of us get on board and deliver our best, every day. The interviews within this presentation will spotlight three Teacher Leaders. We will discuss how they inspire, nurture, and set the benchmark high, while keeping the culture passionate. We will discuss the reciprocal process of the Teacher Leader dynamic within our own school sites. We will discuss how Teacher Leaders can utilize their understanding of a school’s dynamic to influence change.
Reorganization, blending old habits with new ideas, and changing standards threaten a system that is not strong enough to sustain the dynamics of the 21st Century classroom. Building bridges to our future takes great vision, and inspired leadership.
Research shows that leadership is the key factor in influencing employee passion, customer devotion, and organizational vitality. (Blanchard, K. 2013)

Leaders who are people-focused and have the ability to bring out the best in each teammate meeting expected goals as they create harmonious, healthy and happy workforces. This presentation will outline exactly how these three Team Leaders deliver positive results through innovative practices.
