What's Our Power Source?

Q. Describe the power dynamic at your school site.

My response:

At The Classical Academies we come together as teams, at every level, creating and promoting rigorous and flexible academic programming with high academic standards. Administrators, educators, and non-credentialed members of our team fully understand that we are here to partner with parents in their mission to educate their children. Not only do we share ideas and enrich each other’s practices, we share in each other’s lives as well.

We truly care. The strong moral character programming that is entrenched school wide at our four campuses ranging from grades K-12 is immediately recognized by all. It shows in all that we do and all that we say. We believe that everything speaks.
The Eight Keys of Excellence* are our family culture. They are:

Integrity
“We have stated beliefs and values and our actions reflect them.”

Failure leads to success
“We are not fearful of making mistakes.”

Speak with good purpose
“We speak positively, with good intent.”

This is it!
“We are focused on our goals and objectives.”
Commitment
“We do whatever it takes to get the job done.”

Ownership
“We are accountable for our actions.”

Flexibility
“We keep goals in view and change strategies easily to reach them.”

Balance
“We respect a healthy mind, body, spirit, and emotions.

These 8 Keys resonate deeply within each of us, and within our students.
We have a zero tolerance policy on bullying. Period. As a home schooling parent partner of over a decade, and now as a credentialed full-time educator, I speak straight from the heart when I say that our power dynamic at TCA is to build the power in each other. We share one vision. We are passionate about providing the best education possible for our students to become thinkers, communicators, and achievers.

Teacher Leadership is essential to our operations. Entrepreneurial spirit is at the core of who we are, individually and collectively. Each teammate is encouraged to think, dream, and create ways to deliver to his or her fullest potential each day. I am truly blessed to be part of the momentum. I can hardly wait for wait tomorrow will bring.
